Round five of the BSB Championship at Snetterton gave us some mixed weather throughout practice, however, the sun came out for the races.

Tarran and Taylor’s free practice and qualifying sessions went smoothly with Tarran claiming pole position in the Supersport 600 class, and Taylor second on the grid for Superstock 1000 event.

Tarran led off the line on Saturday’s sprint race but was eventually hunted down by the 2015 Supersport 600 Champion, Luke Stapleford.  He tried everything but had to settle for 2nd at the chequered flag as Luke opened up a gap in the closing laps.  Taz  made another blinding start in Sunday’s longer feature race but this time took his second win of the season by just over a second. It was always going to be close but Tarran managed to break when Luke made a mistake mid way through the race.

After being fastest in Sunday’s morning warm up practice Taylor also made a good start slotting into second position at the first corner.  Unfortunately, last year’s championship winner Joshua Elliot, crashed into him at turn two and took him out of the race.  He was unhurt but it was an unfortunate end to the weekend as another Superstock 1000 victory was easily achievable.

Tarran

My weekend wasn’t far from perfect!  Qualifying on pole with a second place finish in the Sprint race and a first place in the Feature race, I can’t ask for much more.  I jumped from 4th to 2nd in the Championship and I’m now only 4 points off the lead.  It’s the ultra fast Thruxton circuit next, which I love, so I’m looking forward to getting back on my Stauff Connect ZX6 Kawasaki in two weeks time.

Taylor

Obviously I’m pretty disappointed with getting taken out on the first lap as I was confident I had the pace to win at Snetterton.  Unfortunately it wasn’t to be but I’m looking forward to getting back to my winning ways with Buildbase BMW at Thruxton.
