AGV Pista GP Rossi 2016 Winter Test Snowman

Quick Overview

During the first Sepang tests, Valentino Rossi arrives to the race track showing off the new “Winter test” livery of his Pista GP. As usual, he surprises us all with amusing and original graphics that proudly appear on his helmet during special occasions. In Malaysia temperatures are soaring hot, but Valentino greets everyone with a... charming and smiling snowman on his head, cartoon style, complete with yellow scarf and hat featuring the Yamaha logo. Besides the number 46 on the back, the blue background of the sides of the helmet is scattered with other typical winter drawings, like snow flakes and ice crystals. The brand new graphics are once again the result of the mind of the rider of the Movistar Yamaha team, and that of his friend and well known designer Aldo Drudi.

The Pista GP originates from AGV Extreme Standards Helmets, an innovative process that revolutionises the helmet design method to measurably and demonstratively  improve protection against impact, compact design, field of vision, aerodynamics, light weight, ventilation and ergonomics. AGV have set higher safety standards for their helmets. The AGV Extreme Standards method sets homologation protection standards that are even higher than the legal requirements and assesses the results with
virtual and laboratory tests.

For Valentino and AGV, the 2016 season marks a special milestone: the most representative rider of the Italian motorcycling world has been racing wearing AGV helmets for 20 years. An extremely important collaboration that started in 1996, together with his world debut in the 125cc category and his first victory. AGV has become synonymous of excellence also thanks to the contribution and the technical suggestions received during the years from Valentino.
