The early part of the motocross season continues with AGV AX-8 Evo helmets there for all to see. In the special invitation race in Valence (France), Gautier Paulin rode magnificently to win both the first and second MX1 races but failed to finish the third due to technical problems with his bike.

David Philippaerts on the other hand, crossed the line in fifth place twice in the last round of the "Internazionali d’Italia" held at Arco di Trento, so ending the Championship lying fifth in the overall standings of both the MX1 and Elite classes.

It was a promising event for the Honda Gariboldi Racing rider as it enabled him to both test his physical strength and work on the bike set-up in preparation for the World Championship Series that is due to start soon.

Shaun Simpson had his first outing on the 450 TM Racing bike and came home seventh in the MX1 and Elite classes confirming his place as one of the best riders in both categories. The Scot is acting as test rider for the new Dainese off-road clothing range that stands out for its fabulous look and functionality.

Not the best of days for Ivo Monticelli who came home eleventh in the MX2.

Now that the "Internazionali d’Italia" is over, motocross moves on to the Qatar GP that will mark the start of the 2013 World Championship season on 3 March.
