Returning factory Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi says he is still not riding at 100 per cent on this year's M1 because he has some things to change with the bike adapt to his riding style.

The Doctor returned to the top of the MotoGP timesheets at Jerez yesterday for the first time in two years, posting a laptime of 1'39.252, 15 one-thousandths faster than team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, but he says there is still work to do on a Yamaha that is a lot different to the one he left behind,

"When I try the bike the first time, for sure it's 1000cc, but especially all the electronic systems in acceleration help more for faster exit from the corner. I think that Yamaha work very much also on the stability of the bike but now we have to finish adapting the M1 to my style," said the Italian.

"From my side, I have work to do to use the good feeling of the M1 100 per cent because I am still not at the maximum."
