Nine-times world champion Valentino Rossi did another back-to-back test of the 2012 and 2013 chassis at the Jerez MotoGP test but still can’t make his mind up which to use for the rest of the season, preferring to have a bit of a rest and decide at Le Mans.

The Doctor ended up fifth fastest on Monday’s timesheet with a 1’39.397, sixth-tenths slower than Marquez, but seemed not to be concerned by the differences. Team-mate Jorge Lorenzo has decided, but isn't telling.

“At the end it has been a good test. It was important because we found some improvements in some points of view, small details but a good way to continue. It was important to try to understand the new chassis,” said The Doctor.

“We made a lot of comparisons between the two but at the end more or less the performance is very similar. In some places it’s better and some places it’s worse. We will decide next week what we will use in Le Mans."
