The Italian is eleventh in the race, Francesco Bagnaia forced to retire after a contact

Maverick Viñales took the Moto3 race and title in Valencia beating Alex Rins and Jonas Folger. Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) fought around the Top 10 throughout the race, taking tenth place in the championship. Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4), after a positive WUP, managed to get closer to the Top 15 but was penalized by a contact with Livio Loi and forced to retire for brake issues.

Franco Morbidelli also enjoyed a positive race, despite missing the points zone, fighting fiercely against more expert riders and closing in 17th position behind Sandro Cortese.

Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) 11th, 40'41.810

"I really wanted to finish the year in the Top 10, even though I was hoping for a better result in my final race with Team Italia. It's been two intense years, where we scored good results and faced tough moments together, always giving our best effort. I'm leaving with many nice memories and give my thanks to everyone involved before starting a new adventure."

Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4) NC

"I'm disappointed. I really wanted to take points on a track I know well and like. Unfortunately, after the contact during the race, the front brake got damaged and I went wide. I want to thank the whole team and I'm looking forward to next season."

Roberto Locatelli (FMI Technical Coordinator)

"It was a complicated race from a tactical standpoint. Behind the front there were many riders fighting closely, but our guys couldn't make the most of it. Romano could have taken sixth place, Pecco compromised a good comeback with yet another unlucky situation. Still, we're happy Romano finished the year in the Top 10."

Alfredo Mastropasqua (Team Italia Manager)

"I want to thank all the sponsors and the members of Italracing and Puccetti Racing, who worked hard the entire season. Romano, Pecco, Riccardo and Alessandro end their growth path with Team Italia and, thanks to the experience accumulated with us, are ready to take their talent even further next year. Our Talenti Azzurri project confirmed the qualities of Fenati in Moto3 and Russo in WSS. Moreover, we took the European Stk600 title with Morbidelli and proved Nocco's abilities. I want to express my gratitude to Roberto Locatelli, a friend and a great professional for the past four years. He devoted great passion and abnegation to our riders and everyone else, making Team Italia better and unique. I wish him and Italtrans the best for next season. Our program will be made official in the next few days, but our mission remains to help young riders grow with a winning mentality."
