The second GP of the season on Italian soil, scheduled in Misano, is eagerly anticipated by San Carlo Team Italia and the whole Italian Motorcycling Federation. Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) and Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4) want to take full advantage of the home crowd support to make a further step ahead before the final stages of the season.

To join them on track, within the young riders' development initiative "Talenti Azzurri" kicked off this season by FMI in partnership with San Carlo, Luca Marini (currently second in the Italian Moto3 championship with Twelve Racing) and Franco Morbidelli (leading the European Stock600 Championship with Team Italia's Kawasaki prepared by Puccetti Racing) will make their debut on the world stage in Moto3 and Moto2 respectively.

Roberto Locatelli (FMI Technical Coordinator):

"Team Italia is ready to race in Italy again with great enthusiasm. Last year we took a podium with Fenati, and time is ripe to race at the top for an entire week-end, both during qualifiers and race, with Bagnaia as well. Romano has to get closer to the Top 5, while Pecco could seize the day by taking his maiden points in front of his fans. For the occasion, two of the top riders supported by FMI in CIV Moto3 and Superstock, Luca Marini and Franco Morbidelli, will take it to the stage to crown a season in which both are fighting for the title in their respective categories. This will be a huge opportunity for them to shine on a world stage, and I wish them the very best."

Franco Morbidelli (San Carlo Team Italia FMI):

"I'm happy and very excited for this wild-card opportunity on the world stage. I just want to get out there and give my best. It is such a great chance for me to challenge those riders. They're fast and I hope to learn from them. I want to thank FMI and San Carlo for giving this opportunity".

Luca Marini (San Carlo FMI Twelve Racing):

"It will surely be a great week-end and an exciting opportunity. I'll have a chance to compete against the best riders in the world. I hope to improve session after session, and to be a better rider come Sunday night, with more experience to help me in the future. I want to thank the Italian Federation, San Carlo and my team for such a great opportunity."
