Romano Fenati and Francesco Bagnaia are eager to do well on Honda's home track

After an unlucky race in Phillip Island, San Carlo Team Italia FMI riders headed straight to Japan to close the long oriental trip on a positive note. Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) wants to re-open his streak of Top 10 finishes to get closer to tenth position in the rankings (he is 8 points behind) before the season finale. Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4) hopes that luck, which turned away on him recently, will be on his side to make the most of a track in which his predecessor Alessandro Tonucci took third place last year.

Roberto Locatelli (Coordinatore Tecnico FMI)

"Motegi is Honda's track and we're particularly eager to score the best possible result. In 2012 we took not just a podium but also valuable data that we hope will be useful to get a quick start. Weather could play a huge role, but we're all focused and keen to bounce back to close this long journey with a smile."
