Salom wins a close battle, Fenati is 18th, Bagnaia 28th

The Moto3 race in Brno crowned the championship leader Luis Salom, who won a close battle against Maverick Viñales and Jonas Folger. Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) took advantage of the improvements found during WUP to get back into the points zone after starting in 22nd place, but tire wear made him lose positions towards the end.

Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4) also faced an uphill race, but struggled to find the rhythm of past days in the constant slipstream game. The rookie closed in 28th position.

Romano Fenati (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) 18th, 41'38.390

"The race was hectic. I was gaining time in corners, and losing it in the straight. I was 15th and barely missed some points. What matters is that we improved the setup during WUP, and we head to Silverstone with more confidence."

Francesco Bagnaia (San Carlo Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#4) 28º, 41'48.118

"I started well but had some issues with throttle connection and I couldn't push, also I couldn't find the pace in such a crowded battle. I lapped slower than yesterday, but it was still good experience to get under the belt and I want to be ready for next race."

Roberto Locatelli (FMI Technical Coordinator)

"Tough race. We couldn't find the right compromise with a setup to have a normal tire wear during the race. Brno turned out to be a tough track for us, and we have been chasing ever since FP1. We didn't get any points, so we head to Silverstone for a turnaround."
