Even though Valentino Rossi put in a vintage performance in today's Qatar MotoGP, he feels it was impossible to beat team-mate Jorge Lorenzo under the desert lights and even questioned whether the Spaniard was human.

Rossi had to make up time after running off track and was lapping quicker Lorenzo but feels that there was nothing he could have done to stop the metronomic performance of the reigning champion.

"You know, I think in this weekend, it was impossible to beat Lorenzo because he is perfect. Not just because of the speed, not just because he make the pole position. He doesn't make mistake. It's like he is not human. I think he find a level of concentration that is unbelievable," said Rossi, speaking to bikesportnews.com

"To feel confident like this was like 2009. The second half of the race, the tyre that slide but could I control the bike so I am very happy. For me to win, I have to start in the first four because if I start in the third row, is over."
