Following two consecutive wins in MX1, Gautier Paulin had to settle for fifth place in the seventh round of the Championship. Indeed, two bad starts affected the performance of the Kawasaki Team rider. Wearing his AGV AX-8 Evo helmet, he finished fourth in both the first race and the Superfinal which was run under the special rules applied to non-European rounds. He still remains however in second position in the provisional standings in the premier class.

David Philippaerts was less fortunate in the first race when a problem dropped him from being up with the leaders back to seventh. He had to retire from the second race following a fall leaving him in twelfth position in the overall classification.

The British rider Shaun Simpson finished in the top ten while Ivo Monticelli, after a mediocre first MX2 race, made up for his disappointment and came home in an excellent tenth place in the Superfinal.

The World MotoCross Championship will now take a two-week break before resuming on 9 June with the GP of France.
