A great race for Gautier Paulin in the fourth round of the Motocross Championships where he finished third in the premier class after two gruelling races. Once he had put on his AGV AX-8 Evo helmet, the French rider took to the track on his factory Kawasaki with the clear aim of reducing the gap to the three riders who lay ahead of him in the MX1 class.

His potential to do so was clear from the Saturday qualifying session when he was placed third, ahead of the leader Antonio Cairoli. On Sunday, he rode magnificently in race 1 where he crossed the line behind the current Sicilian champion. He didn't get a good start in race 2 but nonetheless fought his way back to fourth place at the chequered flag. Thanks to these results, Gautier is now only one point behind the Belgian rider Clement Desalle who is third in the provisional standings.

Shaun Simpson and David Philippaerts who both wear AGV AX-8 Evo helmets in the MXI series finished 12th and 14th respectively.

The next GP is on 21 April at Sevlievo (Bulgaria).
