Ducati and AGV's Valentino Rossi says there is a big question mark over which tyres he will use in tomorrow's Catalunya MotoGP round and the final decision will come down to the track temperature in Spain tomorrow.

The Doctor has been doing a lot of work on the harder of the Bridgestone compounds but switched to the soft option at the end of qualifying today. If the surface tomorrow is a few degrees cooler, Rossi says the soft tyre will be more manageable - but there is the possibility of rain too, which will help the Italian.

"Today is a lot better than yesterday because we improve a lot the setting, especially on the front and now we can brake hard and entering the corner with good speed. I am in ninth position but our target is the front row and I have quite a good rhythm with the race tyres, noting fantastic but I am constant and my lap times are not so bad," said Rossi, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

"Tomorrow we will try something different. Today we made a movement with the bike that give me a bit better traction, especially without upset the front so I can ride at the limit. For sure, the traction remains an issue but it looks like the other guys are also in a big trouble with the traction. I have some point where I lose quite a lot but I think now this is our potential.

"For me, there is a question mark with the tyre choice. I am not so bad also with the hard but the soft is more easy to manage when it slide, so I think it is possible try with the soft especially if it is some degrees less."
