The 2013 speedway season started with a great first round result in the British Under 16s championship for 14 year old Moto-direct sponsored rider Reece Downes from Sheffield.
The 2013 speedway season started with a great first round result in the British Under 16s championship for 14 year old Moto-direct sponsored rider Reece Downes from Sheffield. In his first meeting riding a 500cc bike Reece grabbed 2nd place in the final race of the night at Leicester.. After the meeting Reece thanked all his sponsors but made special mention of his new Leatt neck brace and AGV helmet. I always knew the AGVs were good helmets so that came as no surprise however the Leatt brace was a real revelation. I've ridden in the moto cross brace before and whilst its reassuring it does restrict movement a little on the speedway track. The new STX road brace is different altogether its the same level of protection but the ease of movement is something else. Its perfect for Speedway.
