Auld enemies Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo have opted to bury the hatchet, and not in each other, in order to make their re-instated partnership at Yamaha work for the next two seasons.

The pair were far from friends when they shared a garage, albeit with a wall in the middle, in 2009 and 2010, but now the duo reckon they are able to get on and can chat about the bikes, and things away from the track.

Now the situation is very different. For me, our relationship during the season will be better, our target is yes, fight on the track for sure but also work together for Yamaha and for the team. I think our relationship will remain good for the seasons," said The Doctor.

"I would not say our relationship is fantastic," added Lorenzo, while Rossi whispered 'pussy' in his ear. "It is a little bit less than that, let's say, but we can chat about the bike and any kind of thing. It is important to have communication."
