Valentino Rossi and Jonathan ave spoken about the first-lap collision which saw the Ducati man take to the escape road at the final corner after he banged fairings with the Repsol Honda stand-in.

Rossi braked later than the World Superbike front-runner and was on the outside of Rea when he says Rea moved over a little bit but added it was his mistake as the Irishman couldn't see him.

"Is a pity for our race because I had a problem with Rea in the beginning, braking in the last corner of the first lap. I was on the outside, Rea brake quite early and move on the right, and I was on the outside and I have to go straight but it was my mistake, Rea cannot see me and is a pity because my pace was not so bad," said Rossi, speaking at Aragon.

"I felt Valentino, he made his presence felt. I could feel the contact at the end of the straight and then I saw a red Ducati going straight on. I only think of what it is in front of me, not behind. He obviously made a mistake," commented Rea.
