Morbidelli (first) and Nocco (third) are eager to close with a bang the European championship

With four riders still fighting for the European title, the Jerez race is bound to go down in history. Championship leader Franco Morbidelli (two wins and always taking points this season with his Kawasaki ZX-6R#12) is the favorite. After taking the lead with a win in Portimao at half season, he can aim at one of the few titles missing for the Italian team. Morbidelli has a 10-point advantage over Gamarino, and a podium would be enough for him even if the fellow Italian wins.

Alessandro Nocco (Kawasaki ZX-6R#81) can also aim at the title, having scored three wins and two second-place finishes in the last five races. He is the best young talent in the championship, with 120 points, but will also need to defend himself from Chesaux who, with 113 points, is also technically a contender.

Cristiano Migliorati (FMI Technical Coordinator)

"At the beginning of the year, we set one goal: to fight for the title until the end. We achieved it, with both riders. This was possible only because of the effort made by the team, mechanics, sponsors and riders. We head to the last race at our 100%, both technically and mentally. The bikes are ready and the riders know what to do."
