Tarran: "My plan was to do everything I could to win the last round but I had some scary moments in the opening laps in the atrocious weather and so nearly crashed.  I also saw few riders go down so I didn't want to risk dropping down the championship table.  I was relieved to eventually finish third in the race and maintain my 100% record of podium finishes.  I have never featured anywhere in a British Championship before so taking four pole positions, three wins and a lap record on my Redline KTM adds up to a successful season for me.

My sponsors and family have had an expensive year so I can't thank them enough for their support.  My future racing plans are unclear at the moment but I'll be working hard now throughout the winter to to make sure I'm back on the grid stronger and faster in 2014.

The level of competition in British Supersport has been really high this year, but I've loved every second of it! To finish 6th at Snetterton, 5th at Donington and have the same pace as the leaders over the last few rounds has given me great confidence for next year. The first race of the year I finished 15 seconds behind 1st place, so to cross the line with the leaders at Silverstone shows how much I've progressed. I was gutted to miss out on a podium in the final few races as I really felt I had the pace to achieve this. I'm not too disappointed though as I think I can have a really strong season in 2014 and become a regular podium finisher. My riding has come on leaps and bounds and I just can't wait for next season's testing to begin now. I've worked my back side off all year and I'll be doing exactly the same in 2014. I've got a few new training ideas this winter that will hopefully give me the edge on my competition for next year".
