Taylor Mackenzie kept himself up to speed for the final round of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship by charging to victory in what he reckons was a “holiday race” as his Buildbase BMW team entered him into the ONK Dutch Superbike and Supersport Championship event.

Already crowned the Stock Champ, Mackenzie was out to enjoy himself and he did just that, taking a pole start and then showing the rest the way home as he headed off Ben Godfrey on the LED Solutions BMW to win by 3.533secs.

“That was good fun – really a holiday race for me. The team brought along my Stock bike, put on slicks but it was hard out there. I wanted to win but had to take care not to throw the bike up the road,” said Mackenzie.

Nigel Walraven, riding Honda, was the top Dutch rider, finishing third ahead of Cliff Kloots, Rinze Luimstra and Tim van Ooijen while Freddy Pett was the top Supersport rider, finishing seventh on his Triumph.
