Report from BSN.

JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s James Hillier was forced out of today’s Superstock TT with brake problems before he reached Glen Helen on lap one.

The Bournemouth rider started to experience problems at Quarter Bridge, just seconds after he left the start line, with the problem continuing on the high speed run to Ballacraine, he had little option other than to retire.

“It was my 50th TT start today so, obviously, I was hoping for a strong result and after the way the bike had performed in practice, I was ready to have a real good go today,” said Hillier.

“I’m not sure what happened but as soon as I left the line the bike didn’t quite feel right and it’s hard enough to ride around here with brakes never mind without them. It’s frustrating and disappointing but it’s one of those things so fingers crossed for the next two races."
