I'm so pleased to report we have had the best ever season opener with both boys on the podium at Silverstone.

Having worked harder than ever in the off season, I was so happy to see their dedication being rewarded at the weekend.

Taylor's Buildbase BMW S1000RR has been the most perfect bike since his first test in March and has given finally given him the opportunity to showcase his talent.  The team and bike worked perfectly all weekend allowing him to qualify in pole position and lead the Superstock 1000 race form start to finish.

 Taylor:

After my nightmare 2015 season I considered walking away from racing but something inside made me carry on and I'm so glad I did.  The Buildbase BMW Team have put my career back on course so repaying them with a win and the championship lead is the least I could do.  There is still more to come from both myself and my BMW S1000 so roll on round two at Oulton Park in May.  A massive thanks also to my loyal family and sponsors, this wouldn't have been possible without your support.

Tarran's weekend didn't run quite so smoothly but a second place in Sunday's race was a fantastic debut in the highly competitive Supersport 600 class.

 Tarran:

My weekend started off well and although I only qualified 7th on the grid I was confident for Saturday's sprint race.  Within a few laps I found myself leading but then the rain came and the race was stopped.  After the restart I crashed on the first lap but luckily the organisers scrapped the race due to a slippy track.

That meant Sunday's feature race in dry conditions was a fresh start for everyone.  My got off the line ok but I struggled to get past a slower rider mid race so the eventual winner Andy Reid was able to made a break. I'm not sure if I could have won but I was matching Andy's pace over the weekend so it would have been interesting.  The next round at Oulton is a favourite track of mine as I won there last year, so hopefully I can push hard for another podium on my Stauff Connect Academy Kawasaki.

Both Teams will be testing next week.
