I'm pleased to report we finished our 2016 season in style at Brands Hatch.

Tarran clinched the British Supersport title with a pole position, fastest lap and race win, while Taylor had another great weekend qualifying in pole position for the Superstock 1000 race and then fought through to 6th position in very tricky conditions.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my season!  After Saturday's race extending my lead to 21 points with a second place I was fairly certain I could get the job done on Sunday as I only had to finish in 12th position. I started from Pole position and managed to get hole shot at the first corner. I then got knocked back to 4th before the red flags came out due to James Westmoreland crashing. With him down and out it handed me the championship which meant I could relax and enjoy the last race of the season with no pressure. Bradley Ray and me pulled away at the front by 3 seconds. I decided to sit behind him for the whole race until the very last corner then make my move. Somehow I managed to out brake him and come across the line to win my final race of the season! A perfect way to end my season with 5 race wins and 15 podiums! I can't thank all of my team enough for their hard work throughout this year as well as my personal sponsors, family and friends.

It was a tough race on Sunday and not quite the way I wanted to end the Championship. It was a big gamble to opt for dry tyres so I could have done with a few more laps for the track to dry, however, it was good to finish in one piece and collect the Championship title trophy. 2016 has been an incredible year. I've managed to take 7 pole positions, win 7 races and take my first British Championship. To see my brother lift his in his first year too was the icing on the cake.

A big big thank you to all sponsors, both my personal sponsors and those of the team. It's a big effort from all parties and I couldn't have done it without them. Thanks also, to all of the fans who have supported me this year too.

We've had an amazing season and it still hasn't really sunk in that both boys have won their respective championships. I've witnessed them working incredibly hard for this over the years but I'm always aware it was only made possible with the relentless support of sponsors, family and friends. I hope their achievements is small reward for everyone's kindness.
