Kevin Schwantz learned to ride at the age of 4 and started his career as a Trials Rider before moving to Motocross where he became a top regional MX Racer. After an injury made him retire from Motocross he started competing in track racers winning 25 Grand Prix’s and the 1993 500c World Championship, since retiring his race number 34 has been retired from racing in honour and since 1999 his name has been in the AMA Hall of Fame.
