Marco Simoncelli

Biography:
Marco Simoncelli started riding Minibikes at the age of 7 and he first entered the Minimoto series in 1996 age 9 he then went on to win this championship in both 1999 and 2000 he was also runner up in the European Minimoto series in 2000. In 2001, he then moved up to the 125cc championship where he won in his rookie year as well as becoming championship winner of the European class. In 2006, he then moved up to the 250cc class before joining the MotoGP in 2010. Simoncelli has now been placed in the hall of fame becoming the 21st MotoGP Legend and his father also set up a racing school in his son’s name to help young Italian racers.
